What is Entropion?

Entropion occurs when the eyelid turns inward, causing eyelashes to rub against the eye, leading to irritation, watering, and possible damage to the cornea.

 

What causes Entropion?

  • Aging and muscle weakness
  • Scarring from previous eyelid surgery or inflammation
 

How is Entropion treated?

Under local anaesthetic, the eyelid is repositioned and tightened with fine stitches to restore its normal alignment.
